Woodworking Workbench - Finishing up the aprons

With the faces flattened, it’s time to work on the edges and square up each board.

I stood the board up on end and clamped it to the table. There were a few sections that were quite out of high/low. Rather than playing a guessing game, I went along the entire length with a square and marked off high and low sections across the entire edge. Then I took down the respective sides followed by a long flattening pass. Recheck, mark and repeat until the edge is square (checking against both faces).

Faces are now nice and flat, with almost no twist.

After taking off the high side, running a longer plane to get a nice end to end shaving.
