Wed, 12/31/2008 - 06:33 There are two way to go about doing this. all Involve money. DVI TO HDMI does not transfer sound (i don't think). 1. IF you own recent one with a HDMI you are almost done. The Cables have audio out as well as HDMI. so all you need to do is purchase the HDMI cables FOR the xbox 360. These are a little expensive but you could also buy the no name and they are just as good. 2. if you don't then you will need to do alot of digging to find a a DVI cable which can split audio and video through different cables. So it will have the DVI and the Red and White audio. 3. I remember seeing a video that the ELITE console (the one with the HDMI in the 360) you can split audio and video. 4. If you are using a TV with VGA input you can purchase a X360 input to VGA and those come with a VGA and L&R. If not you can do a lot of converting. X360 to VGA to DVI to HDMI. But its hard to find male VGA TO female DVI to Female HDMI. or if you get lucky you can go from VGA to HDMI hard to find these. I don't think you can find them in a Best Buy, or Source. You may have to Ebay it. You might want to look into that, ebay has great prices. But all in all the 360 can not output video and audio through different inputs. MS is doing this on purpose to force you to buy other cables so I am sure a quick call to 1-800-4MYXBOX will fix this. I would be in same boat right now. Good luck hofully this helped.
