Tue, 02/24/2009 - 00:03 ive never had any problems with my ps3 until today. a game froze, and pressing the PS button on my controller didnt bring up the XMB to exit the game that way. holding the power button didnt work either, so i flipped the power switch off. then when i flipped it back and turned it on, the green light goes on but nothing shows up on my TV and there is no sound. when i try resetting it as you mention, by holding the power button when it is red, it instantly turns on (green). i continue holding it and eventually it beeps once, and then beeps a second and third time a second later, and goes back to red. is this what you mean by resetting the video settings? also, has anyone else had this problem?
