Our exit from India was 6 days long: from disembarking the houseboat in Alleppey for the train to Kochi on Jan 1, until the flight from Mumbai to Dubai on Jan 6. In the middle there was the flight from Kochi to Pune on Jan 2 and the train from Pune to Mumbai on Jan 4.
We will leave you in suspense on our adventures in Dubai, and give you a Farewell India blog. We saved some pictures from our travels in India for a proper ‘farewell India!’ blog.

We will miss the amazing food – the most memorable meals were at the houses of friends and family. This picture is an example of that. We had this meal at the house of the mother and father of the groom. This plate has chappati and Parsi stew (use the chappati to eat the stew, this stew is made with fried mixed vegetables) as well as rice with Parsi Dhansakh daal and on top are onions, cucumbers, tomato, mint and cilantro, then use the bread to soak up the daal that you don’t eat with the rice.
